MEDICAL GROUP SELECTS SCIMAGE'S AWARD WINNING PACS
Multi-specialty group practice selects overall workflow solution as
part of digital initiative
Los Altos, CA - November 17, 2006 - ScImage, a leading enterprise imaging
and information management company announced today that Quincy, Illinois
based Quincy Medical Group (QMG) has entered into a five year agreement
with ScImage for their overall workflow solution. The contract covers
the complete digital workflow for the multi-specialty group and includes
RIS, PACS, CR, ECG management, offsite hosted disaster recovery services
and several clinical productivity tools.
ScImage's single database web-based RIS/PACS will enable a complete digital
workflow by organizing, categorizing, storing and distributing exam specific
information for the main QMG facility and its satellite offices. The comprehensive
solution will support the practice's workflow for cardiology, radiology,
orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, vascular procedures, ENT and obstetrics/gynecology
by providing web-based patient scheduling, modality worklist integration
and web-based post acquisition conflict resolution. ScImage's solution
will also integrate with the group's existing electronic medical record
and practice management software by facilitating the launching of images
and other clinical objects from within the EMR application. ScImage's
web-based ECG Management Suite and 3D visualization application will round
out ScImage's workflow solution.
At the core of the agreement is ScImage's workflow management solution,
PicomRIS. Also included are the company's enterprise-wide PACS, PicomEnterprise
and ScImage's active data center, PicomOnline. Primarily designed as a
Radiology Information System, PicomRIS, when combined with PicomEnterprise
comprises a complete workflow solution. PicomEnterprise will provide QMG
with acquisition, storage and local archiving for all imaging exams and
related information, along with appropriate clinical productivity tools.
ScImage's active data center, PicomOnline, will provide offsite archiving
and anytime anywhere collaborative reading with no IT resource requirement
at the enterprise level. This comprehensive multi-department workflow
and business management solution delivers an enhanced clinical and business
workflow solution that provides real-time web-based scheduling, solid
management reporting tools, film tracking and complete billing services
that is ideal for a multi-specialty clinic like Quincy Medical Group.
