RELEASES NEW CARDIOLOGY SUITE FOR PICOM ENTERPRISE PACS AT ACC 2006
Company to demonstrate several visualization and workflow
enhancements that benefit cardiology care providers
Los Altos, CA - March 7, 2006 - ScImage, a leading enterprise imaging
and information management company will demonstrate its latest suite of
cardiology applications for its flagship web-based enterprise PACS solution,
PicomEnterprise. The software is greatly enhanced in several key areas
including automatic multi-modality image and waveform presentation, measurement
tools for echocardiography, single click stress echo viewing protocols,
and the adoption of IHE profiles for cardiac cath and echocardiography
workflow.
PicomEnterprise is a complete enterprise image and information management
solution for cardiology departments, outpatient cardiology clinics, and
private practice cardiologists. The solution also provides tools for Radiology
and Orthopedics to create an Enterprise Class product that uses a single
database to manage, distribute and safeguard data gathered at various
points of care.
In addition to being a multi-modality solution capable of capturing data
from a variety of cardiology care points, the solution has a rich set
of tools for diagnostic and clinical viewing of clinical objects and advanced
reporting tools with roaming protocols for anywhere, anytime access. Intelligent
hanging protocols allow users to automatically view side-by-side static
and dynamic datasets from Cath, Echo, Nucmed, EKG, Cardiac CT and Chest
Xray. The web-based viewing program has built-in M-Mode and Doppler measurements
that eliminate the need for expensive fixed position workstations. Also
new in this release is single click stress echo viewing that will save
clinicians valuable exam review time. Additionally, PicomEnterprise has
been outfitted with Picom PowerConsole which provides a variety of workflow
enhancing tools such as study status markers, wet notes and voice clip
creation and fully automated report generation tools.
ScImage also plans to exhibit the image manager actors for cardiac catheterization
and echocardiography workflow successfully demonstrated at the IHE and
HIMSS Connectathon events. The adoption of these standards allows users
of the system to benefit from workflow enhancing protocols currently used
in other medical imaging disciplines. The enhancements made to PicomEnterprise
will result in more efficient use of resources and more timely dissemination
of patient information and exam results.
