WESTERN KENTUCKY DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SELECTS ENTERPRISE PACS SOLUTION FROM SCIMAGE
Los Altos, CA November 24, 2003 - ScImage, a leading provider of medical image-information management and advanced visualization tools based in Los Altos, California, announced today that Western Kentucky Diagnostic Imaging Center (Bowling Green, KY), has recently purchased and will be installing ScImage's web-enabled, enterprise-wide PACS, PICOMEnterprise. The information and image management distribution solution will be used to capture and store images and reports.
The installation includes image management and distribution for all of its modalities, reporting and integration with the center's existing practice management software. When complete, the solution will enable the facility to go filmless, while providing the necessary tools to assist them with their clinical workflow. In addition, fully integrated telemedicine is also a part of the installation and will provide the center with the ability to perform after hours reads or contract with offsite reading services.
According to Western Kentucky Diagnostic Imaging's Dr. Rodney Veitschegger, Jr., MD, "Our search for a PACS vendor was fairly extensive. We selected ScImage from a number of major vendors and many smaller companies.
