SCIMAGE'S ENTERPRISE SOLUTION TEAMS UP WITH LAKE REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE ELECTRONIC PATIENT FOLDER
Los Altos, CA July 22, 2003 - ScImage, a leading provider of Third-Generation modality independent image and information management solutions including high-end post-processing medical image analysis applications, based in Los Altos, California announced today that it has contracted with Lake Regional Health System (Osage Beach, MO) to implement a multi-departmental PICOMEnterprise solution. The project will give the Cardiac and Radiology Services at Lake Regional Health System review, distribution and archival of the Electronic Patient Folder (EPF) of procedural Images, reports and other clinical Information. In addition, the installation gives authorized users access to the data stored on the PICOMEnterprise server.
According to Lake Regional Health System, Director of Medical Imaging, Steve Grotewiel, "The goal at Lake Regional Health System is to get clinical information into caregivers' hands when and where they need it so they have the right tools to make the best decisions when treating patients. As the Director of Medical Imaging I must focus on extending this access to every caregiver needing patient information not just Cardiology or Radiology. ScImage is able to seamlessly interface their PICOMEnterprise solution to our different point of care clinical systems and Imaging Modalities including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Cath and Echo. We evaluated many systems and ScImage was the only vendor that provided a true cost effective integrated solution."
Cath Lab Manager, Connie Rugen, praises, "Our Cardiology Department has been anticipating an easy way to access to patient information from any location, and are pleased with ScImage's solution. Physicians will be able to review Hemo, Stress, EKG reports along with creating Cath, Echo, and Vascular reports while viewing Images. This new ability will improve overall efficiencies."
When asked to comment on this project, Sai Raya, Ph.D., Founder and CEO of ScImage responded, "Lake Regional is leading the charge in medical record management and systems integration. By integrating their existing systems with our PICOMEnterprise solution, they have given themselves the tools necessary to provide the best possible care to their patients."
