SOLUTION QUOTING SPECIALIST

Solution Quoting Specialist will have direct contact with area managers, national sales director, national operations manager, contracts administrator, and other departments to assist in the preparation of budgetary and formal quotations for enterprise level software solutions. The Solution Quoting Specialist is also responsible for supporting the overall efforts of the sales organization. This involves, but is not limited to, quoting, report generation and overall administrative and operational support for current and prospective customers.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
    • Timely and accurate preparation of bids and proposals that will be used by area sales managers for use in sales presentations.
    • Interacting & Communicating effectively with sales team members, suppliers, and other departments.
    • Updates customer records and keeps track of various documents using ACT!
    • Works with the necessary staff to identify, create and manage all documentation necessary to support and improve business processes for the sales organization.
    • Works with suppliers and sales to deliver quotes within the required response time.
    • Shares information with National Sales Operations Manager, National Sales Director to secure most appropriate configuration and best possible pricing.
    • Processes and follows-up on drop ships meeting time sensitive requirements.
    • Working on special projects, bids and proposals as necessary.

Requirements
    3-5 years experience in sales & marketing (preferably capital equipment or enterprise level software)
    Able to communicate with all levels within the organization
    Must be a self-starter and operate under limited supervision
    Strong Excel and Word knowledge required, experience with Act! is a plus
    Proven business acumen, exceptional time management and strong organizational skills
    Working knowledge of relational databases
    Understands profit margins, markups, and competitive pricing
    Familiarity with enterprise level hardware solutions and networking a plus
    Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence
    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees.
    AA/AS Degree required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
